A little about Carol Lee Espy ...

Here I am renting space on my husband’s web site, I pay with chicken pot pies and other things that are none of your business. I’m supposed to describe myself and blah blah blah, but I always feel we over-state our importance in bios, so, I’ll be brief.

I’m a singer / songwriter, I’ve been favorably reviewed in PERFORMING SONGWRITER, have listeners across the pond, my songs have aired all over the world and somehow I manage to get some of the most incredible musicians to play with me. I have the best audience in the world, they "get it" and I can speak in shorthand on stage with them. I’m lucky.

I would describe my style as lyrical Americana. I don’t get out to tour all that much, yet I still manage to sell CD’s. Like I said before, I’m lucky.


My first CD........MERCIFUL LANDINGS is sold out (we’re still deciding whether to re-print or not) hopefully by the end of 2005 I will have a third CD ready for you. The CD has been halfway finished for a while now. It’s been a little hectic, I have this other great job on television, this year I won an Emmy Award and have been nominated twice for my music. And of course, I got a little sidetracked working on BIG SILENCE with Jim. It’s the best kind of sidetracked to be.
